About me
I am Trish Brooks.
A native of Brooklyn, New York, I was raised around art, music, literature, and great cultural diversity. My passion for poetry began as the result of an English assignment I received as a sophomore in high school. My poetry is inspired by life, love, and the pursuit of growth. I also pull a great deal of my inspiration from my community. The world, current events, love, loss, etc. all move me deeply. Poetry is meant to invoke feeling. Using my platform for self-expression allows me to connect with my readers on a cellular level. I can only hope that sharing my highs, lows, failures, and triumphs will touch the masses and give hope to those in their darkest hour. Sending light and love.
